I’ve always considered myself to be fairly healthy and in reasonably good shape. I’ve managed to avoid being ill, and colds and viruses never seem to latch on to me - or certainly not that lasted more than half a day or so. So it was completely out of the blue when I began feeling constantly tired and lethargic, and I was even finding it hard to get up in the morning. Over the course of about 12 months I’d seen my doctor many times and had all the tests he threw at me, but they couldn’t find anything wrong with me.

Over dinner one evening a herbalist friend of mine recommended I could do with going on a detox diet, and take some time to learn how to detox the body and how my eating habits may be affecting my health. It seemed a lot of people had a lot of good things to say about it, so took it upon myself to learn as much about the process as possible, and get to grips with what is really involved and why the natural health industry advocate detox diets and in particular the 7 day detox diet so strongly.
